August 19
Convention weekend 2011 Will kick off with our inaugural Possibilities Fair for Seniors from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Friday, August 19 at Columbia Marriott. The registration fee for this special event, which includes breakfast and lunch, is only $30. The Possibilities Fair for Seniors is open to all; but if you are age fifty-five or older, you will not want to miss this event.
Like last year, Chapter and division meetings will begin in early evening, prior to the reception

Bring your sweetheart and join us for Prom Night!
The theme for this year's reception is "Prom Night". Bring your sweetheart and join us for dinner (complements of Isaiah Nelson), dancing, socializing, and all of the things which are usually associated with Prom Night. Feel free to dress-up if you would like. But whatever you do, just come and enjoy the fun. This reception will be special. The Columbia Chapter will be selling a limited number of boutonnieres and corsages for the Prom Reception in the Exhibit Hall between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

The SATURDAY MORNING SESSION will get under way at 9:00 a.m. in the Capital 3 & 4 Ballroom
7:00 P.M. BANQUET -- Carolina A - Ballroom
Please be thinking about the Banquet fundraiser. Chapters, divisions, and individuals will have the opportunity to express support for the programs of the NFB of SC and the Federation Center during the Banquet. I can't wait to see if we can top last year's total of $16,400.
August 21
The SUNDAY MORNING SESSION will get under way at 8:30 a.m. in Capital allroom 3 & 4 with a memorial service for members who have passed away in the past year, followed by the general session at 8:45.
September 3-5
Fun Day FestivalCome spend your Labor Day with us at The Rocky Bottom Retreat and Conference Center for the Blind for a time of games and festivities. In years past, we have had the Miss Rocky Bottom Beauty Pageant, the shotgun wedding, and, as always, an annual auction. If your looking for a little fun, laughter and relaxation, join us in the cool mountains of South Carolina for some down home time away. We look forward to seeing you there on September 7, 2009.

December 2-4
State board Retreat--All State Board Members and Chapter and Division Presidents are invited to share a weekend of fun and fellowship at Rocky Bottom Retreat and Conference Center. The Rocky Bottom and NFBSC boards will meet on Saturday and conclude with a Christmas party Saturday night.
